The project objectives are handled within five modules: for the forested landscape the module “forest”; for the land use in non-forested/open areas (agriculture/viniculture) the module “agriculture”; for species/nature conservation the module “biodiversity”; for the landscape-related water balance modelling the module “water” and for climate induced changes in the soil/site the module “soil”. The necessary climate projections are provided by the State Office for Environment, Water Management and Trade Supervisory Rhineland-Palatinate (LUWG). The Potsdam Institute for Climate Impact Research (PIK) assists as advisory cooperation partner. The periods under consideration are till 2050, and till 2100.
